Loudoun County, VA: Family Session

I met this family of 6 at 48 Fields in Leesburg, VA. I grew up in Loudoun County, if you didn’t know. I have this love/hate relationship with driving through farmland (blame my teenage angst flashbacks), but my heart was so happy as I drove up to this freaking PERFECT location.

This mama booked me for July, back in December 2017 — YEP, so there was a lot of build up to this meeting, and it did not disappoint me, not one bit. This was a dream session.

With four kids, we took three bubble breaks. They hugged, not on command, just because. They would then randomly push each other away, and dash across one of the fields. Reality is my favorite thing. Even so, with a two year old who wasn’t the biggest fan of the photoshoot (which isn’t foreign to me at all, with a two year old, myself), I got both the amazing, real, hilarious “you’re still here?” faces, and some of these sweet, REAL smiles. I love the chaos of family, and I love the quiet moments, where family is just together, because for better or worse, when you’re growing, family is who you know, who you feel, a big part of who you are.
